We are proud of our cashmere knit production, which is second to none in the world. This is due to the diligence, dexterity and care of Japanese craftsmen.
I have been in this industry for more than 40 years and have had the opportunity to visit and work in many factories in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, China, England and Italy, which are said to be the best in the world, and I have been able to see what kind of level the world is at.
In particular, I have had the opportunity to work with factories in Italy and the UK that make products for world-class brands, and I have gained a great deal of confidence from having experienced how they work.
Both the Italian and British factories manufacture knitwear for famous European brands that you are familiar with, and their manufacturing was solid. Although it may sound like gada fukimizu, I am convinced that the craftsmen at our Iwate factory are far superior to those in Italy and the UK in terms of craftsmanship, as well as in the handling and care of products. Moreover, UTO's craftsmen continue to produce only the finest cashmere day in and day out. It is no wonder that their experience and skill in cashmere are outstanding.
The earnestness, tenacity, and politeness with which they approach their craftsmanship are the unique human qualities of the Tohoku people of Japan, and are something they can be proud of to the world.
