UTO's popular service is "Fitting service available at home". This service is popular not only with our customers in person, but also on the Internet and through tax payments.

Our showroom is located on the sixth floor of a building, which we have received many comments that it is much more relaxing than a street store that can be seen from the outside.We used to do business with boutiques and famous department stores. Rather, since UTO was founded 30 years ago, we have always been a Business to Business wholesaler, so boutiques and department stores were our point of contact for sales.
However, since the factory moved to Iwate in 2011, we have been getting more direct customers such as online sales, and gradually graduated from department stores and boutiques BtoB, and now wholesale is much less.
It would be nice if we could have a store where people could try on our products, but the poor company has no such funds. In order for customers to actually hold the cashmere in their hands and feel the lightness, softness, and texture of the cashmere, we send products to those who wish to try them on. This is called "Fitting service available at home".
The most important thing for us is to have you try on the garments to see how well they fit and how much room you like them. Woven clothes do not stretch or shrink, so you can almost always tell from the measurements, but knitwear, which does stretch and shrink, is rather vague. It depends on whether you like a snug fit or a loose fit.
We want to know what size you feel comfortable in.
I think the reason for the popularity of this service is that you can try on the items in your own home, without worrying about anyone else, and match them with your own clothes, and examine not only the size, but also the color and texture.
It is common for customers to try on a purchased item and return it within a few days if it does not fit, but I think it is very rare for customers to be able to try on an item before purchasing it. It is a matter of total trust in the customer. In fact, before we started, there were some who were apprehensive.
What if the item comes back scratched or crumpled and is no longer for sale? What if they come back smelling like perfume? What if it is worn and used before sending it back? What if it comes back with perfume or other smells on it? However, worrying about it all the time was not going to get us anywhere. I was prepared for a few accidents.
We would send you up to three items and ask that you use a color sample book for the colors, and that you return the items within one week of receipt. Of course, we will never force you to make a purchase.
There was another issue of shipping costs. We pay for the shipping, but we ask the customer to pay for the return shipping. We felt bad that the customer had to bear the shipping cost, but since the purchase was not yet finalized and considering the transportation cost to our company, we thought it would be beneficial for the customer to bear the return shipping cost. We have received a very positive response, especially from customers who live far away from us.
In fact, we have not had a single accident until now. We have a very high closing rate.
